Cartouche Card Draw – Uraeus (rx) + Fire (rx)

24 03 2008

Today I pulled my daily draw from the Cartouche Oracle Cards.  Since these cards almost always have a powerful message of wisdom or advice, I usually only draw two cards instead of three:

  • 18 Uraeus (rx)
  • 11 Fire (rx)

Grrh!  It seems that the snake is following me around lately.  Uraeus in the reversed position (rx) is similar in meaning to the Lenormand card 07 The Snake, which I drew in yesterday’s daily cards.  Uraeus (rx) represent a lack of wisdom at best, and deceit, dishonesty, cunning and criminal tendencies at worst.

Fire in the reversed position relates to uncontrolled passions which can lead to sterility, disloyalty or a burst of anger.  Fire in this position can be a warning that someone will lose their temper with me.

I take today’s draw to be a warning.  Uraeus (rx) shows that I could say or do something stupid, and Fire reveals that my blunder could cause a volatile situation or an emotional outburst.  I think I’ll call out from work today. :)

Update 3/25:  Once again the the Cartouche Cards prove themselves to be extremely accurate!

Last night my sister accused me of doing something absolutely ridiculous.  The crazy accusation triggered righteous indignation in me, so I responded badly, and the whole situation escalated to the boiling point.  The scene involved a missing cupcake that is too stupid to even go into.

Anyway, the cards were very much right on target for the day.  Although I didn’t say or do anything stupid, I did react stupidly to a stupid situation that only became more stupid.  My sister’s anger quickly dissipated, and all was forgiven and forgotten five minutes later.  Unfortunately the Cartouche prediction didn’t occur to me in time to diffuse the situation before it escalated out of control.
