A recent reader comment (you can check out Alanna’s comment here) made me realize that I haven’t given the Titania’s Fortune Cards a fair chance. In response, I’ve decided to track my daily card draws using these cards for a few days to see if they are as accurate for me as they seem to be for so many other people.
I know that this deck is a version of the Petit Jeu Lenormand, but for this exercise I want to forget all of the meanings I’m used to using for the Lenormand, and focus only on the meanings provided for this specific deck in the book Titania’s Fortune Cards: How to Interpret the Cards by Titania Hardie.
This morning I focused on what I need to be aware of today, and drew the following three cards:

According to Titania, The Whip represents Strife and quarrels. Next to the Tower, the Whip can refer to an argument with someone older than me, or someone from the past. The Tower is also a card of protection, so perhaps this person thinks they know what is best for me.
The moon is a very positive influence that softens the affect of negative cards. The moon seems to confirm that this person has my best interests at heart. So perhaps these cards predict a disagreement with someone (rather than a violent argument) concerning some new ideas.
Since I know from personal experience that daily draws don’t always manifest on the exact day, I’ll give this prediction a week or so to materialize. It will be interesting to see what this turns out to be!
This seems like a great interpretation of this draw. I’m really interested though that I don’t think I ever did three card draws although I may have- I tended to do seven cards every week or so. The accuracy of these cards always surprised me.
I always interpreted the Moon as an invitation. The way I would read these cards is much the same as yourself except I would place more emphasis on the invitation. Therefor I would have said something like, an invitation from someone from your past or who is older than you may cause you some tension or some quarrel (it may just be an invitation to argue or that they are spoiling for a fight) to brew but the tower card as a card of protection and the moon card together show that this is not an overly difficult event and you will find your way through with ease.
Of course though, they are your cards and your energy and your interpretation that counts the most.
I understand about the matt quality. I have never heard of fanning powder though. Try and perservere. I am looking forward to more draws.
Hi Alanna,
Thank you for your comments! I totally breezed over that the Moon can represent an invitation (for some reason, good fortune and good health is what stuck in my mind), but it turns out that your interpretation is accurate. This week I did receive an invitation from someone from the past that caused some tension. The conflict was internal, but no less real for me. I think I’m going to follow your lead and try a weekly 7 card spread.
Wow! I can’t believe that I was accurate. It makes me wonder why I am letting Titania’s Fortune Cards languish in a trolley waiting to be brought round from my old flat.
I am currently trying to get a hang of a ‘proper’ Tarot deck I got for Christmas. The Shapeshifter Tarot deck. My first impression’s of the deck were positive and I was able to get a good hang on what the pictures represented, but when I looked at some internet reviews I was a little down-hearted. As it stands, I feel they are better at ’spiritual’ matters or questions- but I haven’t really had them long enough to say for sure. I will be giving them my damndest best shot and I want to fully understand them before I think about moving on. It just means I am unlikely to do any readings this year I think. Do you know the deck I’m talking about?
Also, I enjoyed offering you my interpretation of that draw. If you want to post a 36 card reading I could interpret it for you and you can see what you think. That is just a suggestion feel free to decline, I think I’m just missing my deck I may nip out and get them…..
Subscribing to your blog lol

Hi Alanna,
I’m impressed by how quickly and accurately that daily draw materialized. Now I definitely want to explore the Titania’s Fortune Cards more! I think it would be fun to post a 36 card reading. Do you mean a standard Lenormand 8×4 +4, or the Cross (Main Reading) from the Titania book? In the mean time, I’m going to try a 7 card spread for the coming week. Please feel free to jump in with comments or suggestions.
I started out reading Tarot (the Rider Waite), but once I discovered oracle cards I never looked back.
I’d not seen the Shapeshifter Tarot, so I googled some images, and I can see why you want to give them a proper chance– they are beautiful! I wouldn’t worry so much about the reviews. I think if you allow the cards to speak to you, they’ll let you know how they want to be used.
Thanks again for your help with the daily draw. If you hadn’t pointed out that Moon could be an invitation, I’d still be waiting for the draw to materialize!
I have been practicing with the Titania cards for about 6 months and would love to have some other perspectives/readings on a few recent 7 card draws. Not sure how much I am imposing my own desires on my interpretations (always looking for the best, though that damn mouse shows up more than I like!).
Anyone interested in chatting a bit? I know I have LOTS to learn still. This is my first experience with cards. Thanks! –Terri
Yesterdays draw was: tree, woman, stork, heart, mountain, ship, scythe
