I was in the mood for some practical, timely insight this morning, so I decided to draw my daily cards from the Oracle Gé. Although most oracles may reveal energies at work that may not manifest for several days or even months, I’ve found that Oracle Gé will usually refer to something immediate in my life. The cards I drew were a little surprising:

- 17 The Star
- 12 The Dagger
- 59 The Bat
The Dagger represents aggression, malice and violence, which is more severe when the card falls in the reversed position. Luckily I drew the card upright today, but it still isn’t good news. The Bat represents loss, theft, betrayal and fraud.
Eeek! That is clearly not a happy combination. The Star is the saving grace of the spread. It represents protections in all forms including overt as well as secret defense. It’s nice to know that someone has my back.
It appears that I can expect some negative emotions today over a betrayal or breach of trust–perhaps a nasty argument. Thankfully the Star promises that I’ll be protected from any real harm or injury.
