Lenormand 3 Card Draw – Dog + Crossroads + Anchor

27 03 2008

This morning I decided to pull my daily cards from my Mystical Lenormand deck.  I ‘charged’ card 28 The Man, and focused on “what do I need to know today?”

18 The Dog
22 The Crossroads
35 The Anchor

My first impression when I looked at these cards was that they predict a separation (Crossroads) from a friend (Dog).  The Crossroads gives me the sense of a ‘parting of ways.’  The Anchor shows stability so the separation wouldn’t be due to conflict.  The friend could be relocating to find more stability–perhaps a new job.

The other idea that comes to mind is that the friend may choose the option to stay in the end since dropping anchor usually indicates remaining in one place.

I question in this case whether the ‘key card’ is The Crossroads (because it falls in the middle), or the Dog since it seems to represent the focus of the reading.  The Crossroads isn’t typically used as a ‘key card,’ so perhaps in cases where a traditional key card such as the Dog shows up, the focus is shifted to that card.  I’ll have to keep this idea in mind for my future draws to see if it works consistently for me.
